Disney Lorcana: Reign of Jafar Arrives at AFK Games on March 30th !
Join us for our release event on Friday, March 30th, at 6:30 PM to celebrate the launch of Reign of Jafar!
Jafar has seized control of Archazia’s Island, transforming it into his formidable fortress. His reign poses the greatest threat that Lorcana has faced!
🕡 Round 1 starts at 6:45 PM
We will be hosting two separate events at the same time:
-
Matched Play Tournament – A structured event with Swiss rounds and rankings.
-
Casual Open Play – A relaxed format where you can play at your own pace.
Entry Fee: $40 (Same for both events)
Prizes: Each event will have a separate prize pool, with a total value greater than the entry fee.
Come join the fun, experience the new set early, and enjoy a night of Lorcana!
Casual Open Play
This event is perfect for players who want to enjoy the new set without the pressure of a structured tournament. You can play as much or as little as you like, choosing your opponents freely.
What You Get with Entry:
-
Reign of Jafar Starter Deck (60 cards) – includes 1 sealed booster pack of Reign of Jafar
-
3 additional Reign of Jafar booster packs
How It Works:
-
There are no assigned pairings—simply find other participants to play with at your own pace.
-
This is a casual event, so you can choose who you play against or just explore the new cards on your own.
-
At the end of the event, every player’s name will be entered into a random drawing. Players will take turns picking from the prize pool in the order their name is drawn.
This is a great way to experience the set early, meet other players, and have fun in a relaxed environment!
Matched Play Tournament
In this tournament, all players will start with a starter deck and one booster pack. Before the event begins, you’ll have 10 minutes to modify your deck using cards from your booster pack.
-
Between rounds, you are allowed to make further changes to your deck using the cards you opened, but no extra time will be provided for this.
Tournament Structure
-
The tournament will use a Swiss format with 3 rounds (everyone plays all 3 rounds).
-
Each round is a best-of-two games match.
-
Pairings will be handled through Melee (the official tournament software).
Prizes
-
Prizes will be awarded to the top 50% of players based on their performance.
-
The prize pool has both a higher and lower limit compared to other formats.
